A Legacy Bigger Than Golf
For Cameron Champ, golf has always represented more than competition.
The PGA TOUR winner grew up in Sacramento, California, learning the game from his grandfather, Mack Champ. But the lessons Mack passed down extended far beyond the golf course. They were lessons about discipline, perseverance, character, and what can happen when someone is given an opportunity to succeed.
Founded in 2018, the Cameron Champ Foundation carries that legacy forward by creating opportunities for young people from underserved and underrepresented communities.
The Foundation is rooted at Foothill Golf Course in Sacramento, the same course where Cameron learned the game as a child. Today, it serves as much more than a place to learn a golf swing. Junior golf instruction is combined with mentorship, academic support, and personal development to create an environment where young people can grow both on and off the course.
Cameron's goal is to provide the next generation with the same kind of opportunity and support he received, while helping make golf more accessible and inclusive.

Creating Access to the Game
Golf can be difficult to access for a young person who hasn't grown up around the sport. Equipment, instruction, facilities, and technology can all create barriers before a player ever reaches the first tee.
The Cameron Champ Foundation is working to change that.
Young golfers arrive at Foothill Golf Course from a variety of backgrounds, including many with little or no previous exposure to the game. They're welcomed into an environment designed to make golf approachable while giving them the support to continue developing.
Coaching is paired with mentorship, academic enrichment, and community connection. Players have an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of golf while developing qualities like discipline, resilience, and confidence.
Most importantly, they have a place where they belong.
Bringing Technology Into Player Development
