How do I resolve video quality or lag issues with Swing Optix® cameras?

To fix video quality or lag issues with your Swing Optix® cameras, follow these steps.

Video Quality

  1. Check Your Lighting
    • Confirm you have enough lighting for the cameras—high-speed cameras open and close the shutter more often than standard cameras, so more light is needed in the environment for it to not appear to be dark. This is important since darker environments will typically look grainy.
  2. Adjust Camera Settings
    • Focus the cameras: Remove any lens covers, and if applicable adjust your camera image by adjusting the focus, aperture, and/or zoom. This is done by rotating the dials on the cameras—the dials are fairly sensitive, so take your time with small adjustments.
    • Post-processing adjustments: You can adjust the image in VIEW only after they have been registered through Uneekor Launcher's device setup. After registration, navigate to the Swing page in VIEW, click the slider button in the top-right of the rightmost camera panel, and finally select the Swing Optix® tab. From there, you can adjust the post-processing sliders and configure them to what is best for your lighting environment—this will take some time to tweak to your liking, so take your time to find the best configuration for you.

Lag (Low Framerate)

  1. Check USB Connections
    • Identify your PC's USB 3.0 ports: Identify the USB 3.0 ports on your PC by looking for a blue/red/orange color, a lightning bolt symbol, or the letters "SS" next to them.
    • Connect directly via USB 3.0: Connect the cameras directly to these ports. Do not use any adapters, hubs, or extension cables, except for USB 3.0 Type-C to USB 3.0 Type-A adapters and active extension cables.
    • Secure connections: Verify that the USB cables are securely connected to both the cameras and the PC.
  2. Space the Cameras Apart
  3. Inspect the Cables

By following these steps, you should be able to resolve video quality or lag issues with your Swing Optix® cameras.
